Solaxa Inc. Appoints Brad Navia, MD, PhD as Chief Medical Officer
Bethesda, MD; June 27, 2026 – Solaxa Inc. announces that Brad Navia, MD, PhD, has joined the company in the role of Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Dr. Navia has extensive expertise in drug development and regulatory strategy in neurology and psychiatry spanning 20 years in large, medium-size pharma and start-up biotech companies. Since 2021, he has been the CMO at several biotech companies, most recently at Aprinoia, Therini and Klotho Neurosciences, while providing advisory support to other companies developing novel treatments for Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. Brad has led the clinical development for small molecules, biologics, gene therapy, and PET imaging tracers for tau with an emphasis on neurodegenerative disorders (AD, PD, ALS, PSP). He has led over 20 phase 1-3 trials, including 4 positive phase 3’s in neurology with an FDA approval. While at Sunovion, as the global program lead, he led the development of KYNMOBI for the treatment of PD Off episodes to approval, work recognized with Sunovion’s Illuminate award for leadership. He has held multiple leadership positions throughout his academic and industry career and is the recipient of multiple grants and awards for his work. Dr. Navia earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Medicine, his neurological training at Weill Cornell Medical Center/The New York Hospital and holds a PhD in Neuroscience and Genetics from Harvard University.
